The Three Foundations of Organizational Success
Submitted by Alan on Sat, 05/03/2008 - 17:01Whenever a group of people come together to form a team or organization, specific barriers appear - often hidden in magnitude from those inside the team or organization. These severely limit growth, goal achievement and overall success. At
AGILEdge, we believe these barriers involve the following three areas: • Planning- What are you focused on? • People- Who? • Process - How? The reasons that these become barriers and why addressing these represents, we believe, the most significant opportunities available to most organizations follow: - We don't know what we don't know - We think we know based on our past experience or those of others when those experiences are based on a different system, time and cause-effect relationship - We rely on assumptions and rules of thumb for expediency rather than thinking things through with facts and reason. How do you counteract this? How do you turn the planning, people and process decisions and actions into levers for success? At AGILEdge, our focus is in providing tools, expertise and project management services to address the opportunities and threats in these three areas. The purpose of this website is to better illustrate these opportunities and levers for success in organizations from small start-ups to large multi-nationals.

When you look at any organization of any size that's not performing as desired, you see the following:
- Action missteps or no worthwhile action steps
- Decision ineffectiveness
- The inability to accurately predict the results of actions or decisions
We see a lot of approaches used to deal with these problems. ![]()
